Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense (for example, we do not exchange your name and contact details with unrelated third parties solely for money). However, we do disclose certain personal information (such as identifiers, internet activity data, and inferences) to advertising and analytics partners, who may use this information to provide cross‑context behavioral or targeted advertising and measurement services.
Under CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws, this type of disclosure may be considered:
-
A “sale” of personal information;
-
“Sharing” of personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising; and/or
-
“Targeted advertising” under other U.S. state privacy laws.
While we do not exchange your personal information for cash, we do “share” personal information (as defined by California law) and process it for targeted advertising (as defined by other U.S. state laws) with our advertising and analytics partners.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information or of its use for targeted advertising. See “Your Privacy Rights (United States)” below for more information.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law.
In general:
-
Order and transaction data is typically retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
-
Customer account information is retained for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter, or until you request deletion (subject to legal obligations).
-
Marketing and communications data (e.g., email subscription and engagement data) is typically retained until you opt out or until it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.
-
Cookies and analytics data are typically retained for periods ranging from several months up to about 24 months, depending on the tool and your settings, unless a shorter or longer period is required or permitted by law.
When we no longer need personal information, we will delete or anonymize it, or, if that is not possible (for example, because it is stored in backup archives), we will securely store it and isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.
International Transfers
Personal information may be processed at our operating offices and in other locations where Service Providers are located, which may include locations outside your state or country. Where required by law, we will take appropriate measures to ensure a level of protection for your personal information that is consistent with applicable legal requirements.
Business Transfers and Legal Requirements
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We may also disclose personal information as required by law, in response to legal requests, or to protect our rights and the rights of others.
Security of Personal Information
We implement reasonable and appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Analytics
We use analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, and similar tools) to help us understand how the Services are used, improve performance, and support marketing and advertising. These providers may set cookies and collect information about your use of the Services, which may then be used to provide aggregated reporting and advertising services.
You can opt out of certain analytics tools using the methods they provide (for example, browser add‑ons, device settings, or opt‑out pages).
Email Marketing
We may use your personal information to send you newsletters, marketing, or promotional communications, as permitted by law and your preferences. You can opt out of these communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us. We may use providers such as Klaviyo to manage and send emails.
Payments
When you purchase products, your payment information is processed by third‑party payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal). We do not store full payment card details; these processors handle your payment data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable security standards (such as PCI‑DSS).
Behavioral Remarketing and Targeted Advertising
We use remarketing and targeted advertising services to advertise on third‑party websites and platforms after you visit our Services. Our partners (including Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, Outbrain, Taboola, AdRoll, and others) use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your past interactions with our Services.
You can manage interest‑based advertising preferences using:
-
The advertising settings provided by individual platforms (e.g., Google Ads Settings, Facebook/Meta ad preferences, TikTok ad preferences).
-
Industry opt‑out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (aboutads.info/choices) where available.
-
Your browser and device settings to limit tracking and personalized ads.
Even if you opt out of targeted advertising, you may still see ads; they just may be less relevant.
Information Processed Through Third‑Party Platforms and Marketplaces
We sell and advertise our products through third‑party platforms and marketplaces such as Amazon, Amazon Buy with Prime, Walmart, eBay, TikTok Shop, and others. When you interact with us on those platforms, both we and the platform may collect and process your personal information.
In many cases, the platform acts as an independent business or controller of your personal information and processes it according to its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each platform you use. Where we receive personal information from those platforms (for example, order details, contact information, or advertising performance data), we use and disclose that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
