Apple Coffee Crumble Recipe - Winter recipe

The coffee gets an exciting topping out of simple sprinkles. Below with the tinder apples are the rumbling raisins

Prepared with fresh apples and delicious coffee, the cake combines all the characteristics of a delicious dessert!

This cake resembles the British shortbread, which is very typical in Scotland. But for Germany an apple pie is a piece of tradition, and with this “crumble-topping” one can formally melt. Not forgetting a good espresso from gourmesso and a ball of vanilla ice cream. Autch!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2/3 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (cut into 6-8 pieces)
  • 3 medium apples, in thin slices
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • ½ cup of natural yoghurt
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coffee powder (SFCC House Blend Espresso from Gourmesso)
  • pinch of salt

For the apple crumble

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2/3 cup of sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • pinch of salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)

Directions

 Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and grease the baking pan.

➋ Take a large bowl and mix the flour together with the sugar and baking soda. Then stir it dry with the hand mixer.

➌ Add the cold butter to the flour and continue stirring until it becomes a dry mass – almost like sand.

➍ Spread three-quarters of this sand-mass on the jump-form and press it evenly. Then put all the apple slices on the dough.

➎ Before the cake goes into the preheated oven for the first 20 minutes, spread the remaining dough over the apples.

➏ While the ground cake is baking for the first 20 minutes, stir in a bowl the following: eggs, cream, sour cream, brown sugar, vanilla and a pinch of salt.

➐ After 20 minutes, take the cake out of the oven and carefully place the egg mixture on it. Slide the cake into the oven for another 20 minutes.

➑ For topping, mix together flour, sugar, cinnamon and a little salt in a small bowl. Then add the melted butter and shape the crumbs.

➒ After 40 minutes, remove the cake from the oven so that the egg mixture is harder and the crumbs do not sink into it.

➓ They spread the crumbs on the cake and put it into the oven again for 20 minutes.

⓫ After a total of 65 minutes, take the apple and coffee cake from the oven. Let it cool for 15 minutes.
